Freedom Technologies Inc. Announces New Hires

October 13, 2016, Washington, D.C. – Freedom Technologies, Inc. (“FTI”) announces the hiring of technology and legal experts – Kate Briggs, J.C. Mendyka, and Eli Gaylor – to provide engineering, policy and contract management support to its clients.
Kate Briggs will serve as FTI’s Director of Information Technology. Kate has worked in technology, legal, and contract management roles throughout her career, most recently at Salient CRGT. Her past experience includes serving as a legal analyst for a major telecommunications carrier assisting with cross-border merger transaction review, and as a public sector contracts management specialist at the local, state, national and international levels. Ms. Briggs possesses a deep knowledge base of procurement processes and technologies. Ms. Briggs is a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM). She has completed a master’s certificate from Georgetown University and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.
J.C. Mendyka joins FTI as Director of Spectrum Management after a 20-year career serving in the US Army Signal Corps. He supported frontline communications in both Iraq and Afghanistan. During the past five years, Mr. Mendyka was a U.S. Army Spectrum Manager stationed in Colorado and Germany. At FTI he will be consulting on technical matters related to spectrum-dependent systems used by military forces worldwide to ensure efficient and effective electromagnetic spectrum use.
Eli Gaylor, a current second-year law student at Georgetown University Law Center, has joined FTI as a Legal Associate. Mr. Gaylor performs legal, business, and regulatory research and analysis in a variety of areas, including spectrum policy, low-earth-orbit satellite constellations, and outreach for defense and government clients. He served 10 years in the U.S. Army. Mr. Gaylor and is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in political science.
