August 23, 2020, Washington, D.C. – Freedom Technologies, Inc. (“FTI”) announces the hiring of technology policy and legal experts – John Murphy and Moriah Mensah – to provide regulatory, legal, and policy support to its clients.

John Murphy will serve as Director of Policy. Throughout his service in the Air Force service and subsequent career, John has worked in congressional affairs, national security, and technology roles, most recently as Senior Legislative Analysis for the Undersecretary of Research and Development. He has held multiple positions in the Air Force including as a Legislative Liaison for the Secretary of the Air Force, as an Intelligence Specialist supporting Air Force Special Operations, and as a Missile and Space Systems Specialist. He also served on staff to Members in Congress. Mr. Murphy brings to FTI a deep knowledge base of the defense and technology industries. He is currently completing a master’s from the Harvard Extension School and holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.

Moriah Mensah will serve as Policy Associate and Counsel. Moriah has worked in consulting, policy, and advisory roles throughout her career, most recently serving as an Executive Level Staff Consultant for the Directorate of Training and Readiness, Department of the Air Force. Her past experience includes conducting legal research, advising government clients with respect to startup programs, and working with a think tank on a variety of legal and policy matters at the local, state, and national levels. Ms. Mensah possesses a widely diversified knowledge base having worked on policy issues ranging from housing policy to broadband deployment in addition to conducting research in both Constitutional Law and Virology. Ms. Mensah is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. She received her Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary.
