Arlington, VA, July 15 – Freedom Technologies, Inc. (“FTI”) announces the hiring of Randy Cantz and Cole Trautman to provide regulatory, legal, and policy support to its clients.  According to FTI CEO and President, Janice Obuchowski, “we are fortunate to add these two talented individuals to our team.” 

Mr. Randy Cantz joins FTI as a full-time Policy Associate. He brings extensive experience in internet governance, digital ethics, and privacy law. He has engaged in research on a wide array of technology policy issues, including digital deception and cybersecurity governance, international neuroprivacy regulation, and more. Mr. Cantz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated with high honors, and a Master’s degree from Georgetown University’s Communication, Culture, and Technology program.

Mr. Cole Trautman joins FTI as a full-time Policy Associate. He has experience in security and technology policy. He brings extensive experience tracking global threats and cybersecurity incidents as a consultant as well as tracking legislative and regulatory developments. Mr. Trautman received his B.A. from the University of Virginia majoring in Government with a minor in Public Policy and Leadership, and will receive his M.A. from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in August, where he was a Fellow with the Emerging Technologies Initiative.
